Thank you to everyone who attended our event on Saturday – what a great afternoon we had, we do hope you enjoyed it.
Below is a great write up by Flic Wiltshire.

It took six months of planning and hard work by a small team of dedicated residents and the end result was definitely worth it as thousands of people turned up to enjoy a family fun day in North Swindon at the weekend.
The fun day, which was the second to be organised by the North Swindon Community Group, was held in aid of Brighter Futures Radiotherapy Appeal.
Families from across Swindon turned up to the free entry event where a hog roast, live music, face painting, stalls, beer tent and a whole host of activities were on offer for everyone to enjoy.
North Swindon resident, Wayne Sims, is Secretary of the North Swindon Community Group. He said: “The Fun Day took six months to plan by a small committee. The day itself for me was a sixteen hour day on four hours sleep – but this meant that I got to see between four and five thousand people smiling and enjoying themselves.
“I think it is safe to say that the second North Swindon Fun Day was a massive success. It was such a pleasure to work with some amazingly talented artists in the stage area. I would like to thank every stall holder who put their faith in us again and also thank everyone who came and joined in… Now on to the next one!”
The North Swindon Community Group was established by local residents in 2014 with the support of Swindon Borough Council through a Localities New Shoots grant.
The group exists to host community building fun events for the area of North Swindon and is always on the lookout for new members.
Anyone interested in joining the committee is asked to drop them an email with a bit about yourself to firstname.lastname@example.org
